I’m kidding. I made that up. I totally certified myself. I do feel like it’s legit because my body did push out each baby all by itself. Nobody told me what to do or told me to push or anything.

I have lived a freaking amazing life.

Married.

Birthed.

Homesteaded.

Homeschooled.

Lived off the grid.

Dealt with death.

Ran businesses.

Divorced.

Changed my life.

My biggest accomplishment was to birth my 7 children by myself. There were people around me, but I did all of the hard stuff.

Here’s what I know.

Childbirth is part of the autonomic nervous system.

Wait, what?

Yes, your body knows exactly what to do, at every stage, in order to get that baby from inside you to outside you.

Really?

But don’t we need a doctor and hospitals to help at that last part, you know, getting things started and then getting that big head out of that little hole it is supposed to come out of, I mean, how is that even going to happen?

No, we do not need help at the end. Think about it.

It is so complex to even get pregnant.

There are incredibly complex processes in place that make the baby grow from two cells to a fully formed human. We truly do not understand it all.

Then when it’s time to come out….Oh dear.

You really think the Creator or whoever set up this system suddenly realized , “Oops, I guess I didn’t think this through.”

I think not.

But there are people who want you to think you are defective or your body is broken and there is so much wrong with you that you will need tremendous assistance in order to give birth.

This is simply not true.

But it seems like most women believe it.

Why?

What would happen if we started telling the truth?
